Garden waste subscribers can recycle their real Christmas trees in their kerbside collection. We kindly ask you remove all decorations and lights, chop it up into smaller pieces and place in your garden waste bin. Trees can also be taken to your local community recycling centre (CRC).
Previously, residents were informed of date changes over the festive period via printed guides to recycling and waste that were sent to all households. However, this year guides are not being sent to all households to reduce the environmental impact of printing guides and to save costs that can be better spent on essential services.
Residents can stay up to date with the latest news regarding their bin collections by checking the service update page on the Joint Waste Solutions (JWS) website and by following JWS on X.
