We’re introducing a new recycling service for Elmbridge residents. From 4 December we’ll be collecting your old clothes, home textiles and small electrical items for recycling. Please put small electricals in one bag and clean, dry clothes and home textiles in another. They can then just be left out next to your bins every week.
What can be recycled?
The following small electrical items can be recycled:
- Kettles and toasters
- Hairdryers and straighteners
- Laptops and games consoles
- Household and mobile phone batteries (please place in a separate bag to other electricals)
- Radios
- Clocks, alarms and watches
- Video players, laptops, DVD players
The following textiles can be recycled:
- Clothes (any condition)
- Pairs of shoes and slippers
- Blankets and towels
- Curtains and bed sheets
- Accessories like belts and bags
What can’t be recycled?
- Any electrical items larger than 35 x 40cm like televisions or white goods
- Bric-a-brac
- Pillows and duvets
- Rugs and carpets
- Wellington boots
